ANIMAX Asia to simulcast ‘Muhyo & Roji’ anime series this August

Upcoming anime adaptation of Yoshiyuki Nishi's supernatural mystery manga to premiere on August 3.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced on Saturday that the upcoming anime series Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation will simulcast on the channel starting August 3.

The supernatural mystery anime will air Every Friday nights at 11:00pm (10:00pm JKT/BKK), within three (3) hours after its initial Japanese telecast.

Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation is an upcoming anime adaptation of a manga series by Yoshiyuki Nishi, which was serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 2004 to March 2008 with a total of 18 volumes.

The series recently launched a sequel, Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation: Magical Genus Magic Tool Master Chapter, which has been running since March of this year.

 

The anime adaptation will be directed by Nobuhiro Kondo, who previously worked in Nobunagun, while Naruto scriptwriter Yasuyuki Suzuki handled the series composition.

Kouichiro Kawano, who worked in anime shows like Ikki Tousen and Gurren Lagann, will handle character designs, which will be produced by Studio DEEN.

Haikyuu!! voice actors Ayumu Murase and Yuu Hayashi will reunite to portray the upcoming show’s title characters “Toru Muhyo” and “Jiro ‘Roji’ Kusano” respectively.

 

This upcoming anime series will be added to ANIMAX Asia’s simulcast shows, which had been airing since this earlier month, which are Cells at Work! and Phantom in the Twilight.
