Events organizer Cosplay.ph has announced in a Facebook post on Friday that the Japanese singer AiRI will be one of the musical performers in this year’s Cosplay Mania, happening this September.
AiRI is a Japanese pop singer, previously known as “UR@N”, who started her career in the early 2000’s. She is currently signed to the record label Lantis.
After the name change in 2011, she performed the song “learn together” for the anime series 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku for her debut.
Following her debut, she also sung theme music for Manyu Hiken-cho and Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere anime series.
AiRI also performed “Kimi to Boku wa Soko ni ita”, which was used as the insert song for Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, and “Dreamer”, which was used as the opening theme song of the popular comedy anime Tari Tari.
Her recent songs were used as theme songs for the sports anime Keijo!!!!!!!! and the mecha anime Gundam Build Fighters.
AiRI will be the third musical guest to perform at the event’s JAM (Japanese Anime Music) concert series, which follows Japanese pop band fhána and rock duo Zwei.
The organizers previously announced that Japanese stage actors Hiroki Ino and Kosuke Asuma will be a part their flagship event, as well as guest cosplayers, which are Emperor and Astarohime from Russia, Hakken from Malaysia, and Ola Aphrodite from Indonesia.
More performers and special guests for the two-day event are expected to be announced in the coming days.
