Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced on Thursday that Princess Principal and Vatican Miracle Examiner are set to premiere on the channel this month.
Princess Principal premieres on June 4, airing double-episodes Every Monday and Tuesday nights at 08:00pm (07:00pm JKT/BKK).
Vatican Miracle Examiner premieres on June 13, airing double-episodes Every Wednesday and Thursday nights at 10:00pm (09:00pm JKT/BKK).

Set in the 19th century in the fictional country known as Albion, five girls are enrolled as high school students at the prestigious Queen’s Mayfair school. However, behind their student identity, they are actually undercover spies. In addition to disguise, espionage, infiltration and car chases, the girls will use their individual skills and abilities to achieve their goals.
Princess Principal is an anime series produced by Studio 3Hz and Actas, which was directed by Masaki Tachibana, who directed the 2014 comedy anime Barakamon.
Ichiro Okouchi, scriptwriter for popular anime show like Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, handled the series composition of the series, and Celestial Method chief animation director Yukie Akiya handled the show’s character designs.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Akari Kageyama (“Nana Ebina”, Himoto! Umaru-chan) as “Beatrice”, Akira Sekine (“Miyo”, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless) as “Princess”, Ayaka Imamura (“Yuriko Kogami”, Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation) as “Angie”, Nozomi Furuki (“Miwa Yamamura”, Barakamon) as “Chise”, and Yo Taichi (“Kenya”, ERASED) as “Dorothy”.

Hiraga, a scientific genius, and Roberto, an expert on the decryption of cryptography and ancient document,s are partners working together for the Vatican as ‘Miracle Examiners’. Their job is to examine and verify the authenticity of miracles reported all over the world. However, during their investigation, they often find themselves caught up in mysterious murder cases instead. Are any of these ‘miracles’ true? Or is there a greater power behind all these?
Vatican Miracle Examiner is an anime series adaptation of a light novel series, which was written by Rin Fujiki and illustrated by THORES Shibamoto. The novel is currently being published by Kadokawa Shoten under its Horror Bunko imprint, which started in December 2007.
The anime adaptation was directed by Yoshitomo Yonetani, who also worked on the popular cooking anime Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, while Bakuman scriptwriter Seishi Minakami handled series composition.
Character designs were handled by Kazunori Iwakura, who also worked on Aria the Scarlet Ammo, which was produced by J.C. Staff.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Junichi Suwabe (“Sakunosuke Oda”, Bungo Stray Dogs) as “Roberto Nicholas” and Nobuhiko Okamoto (“Eiji Niizuma”, Bakuman) as “Josef Ko Hiraga”.
ANIMAX Asia will also air the musical event ANIMAX Musix 2017 Yokohama this month.
The event will feature popular anisong artists like angela, GARNiDELiA, Wake Up, Girls!, fripSide and a lot more.
