
Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced in a press release on Tuesday that the upcoming anime KAKURIYO -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- will be a part of the channel’s Spring 2018 simulcast line-up.
The anime is set to premiere on April 2, airing Every Monday nights at 11:00pm (10:00pm JKT/BKK), which airs within 24 hours after the initial Japanese television broadcast.

College student Aoi, who prides herself on her cooking skills, has inherited her late grandfather’s ability to see spirits. While feeding spirits one day, a god appears before her, claiming that Aoi’s grandfather owes him a great debt. In order to repay the debt, he is now claiming Aoi as his bride. Adamant in her refusal to go along with this plan, Aoi decides that the best way to pay off the debt is to work at Tenjinya, an inn owned by the god himself…
KAKURIYO -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, also known by the Japanese title Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi, is an upcoming anime adaptation of a light novel series, written by Midori Yūma and illustrated by Laruha. The novel is being published by Fujimi Shobo since 2015, under Fujimi L Bunko imprint, and currently has eight (8) volumes.
The upcoming anime will be directed by Yoshiko Okuda, who handled character designs for Say “I love you.” and The Perfect Insider, while Kimi ni Todoke scriptwriter Tomoko Konparu handled series composition.
Youko Satou, who handled character designs for Saiyuki Reload Blast, is set to adapt Laruha’s original character designs, which will be produced by GONZO.
The Japanese voice cast will be lead by Nao Toyama (“Lyria”, Granblue Fantasy the Animation) as “Aoi Tsubaki”, Katsuyuki Konishi (“Tatsumi Oga”, Beelzebub) as “Odanna”, and Shun’ichi Toki (“Leo de la Iglesia”, Yuri!!! on Ice) as “Ginji”.
The anime channel previously announced on Sunday that the fantasy anime Dances with the Dragons will be one of the channel’s simulcast line-up for Spring 2018.
The anime is set to premiere on Friday, April 6, which also airs within 24 hours after the Japanese television broadcast.
