ANIMAX Asia announces Dances with the Dragons simulcast airing

Upcoming anime to premiere on April 6, airing within 24 hours after the Japanese broadcast.

Southeast Asian anime channel ANIMAX Asia has announced in a television advertisement on Sunday that the upcoming anime Dances with the Dragons will be a part of the channel’s Spring 2018 simulcast line-up.

The anime is set to premiere on April 6, airing Every Friday nights at 11:00pm (10:00pm JKT/BKK), which airs within 24 hours after the initial Japanese television broadcast.

Dances with the Dragons, also known by the title Saredo Tsumibito wa Ryu to Odoru, is an upcoming anime adaptation of a light novel series, written by Labo Asai and illustrated by Miyagi.

The light novel was originally published by Kadokawa Shoten under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint, which ran from 2008-2006 and has a total of eight (8) volumes.

The novel was since moved to publisher Shogakukan since 2008, under Gagaga Bunko imprint, illustrated by Miyagi (from Vol. 1-13) and Zain (from Vol. 14), which currently has 21 volumes.

The upcoming anime will be directed by Hirokazu Hanai, who handled character designs for Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku o – Yōkoso Tsugumi Ryohe anime, with A Certain Magical Index’s Hiroshi Nishikiori serving as the chief director.

Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation scriptwriter Takayo Ikami will handle the upcoming anime’s series composition.

Masaru Kitao, who previously worked on anime shows like Death Note and Orange, will handle character designs for the series.

 

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Nobunaga Shimazaki (“Haruka Nanase”, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club) as “Gayus”, and Yoshimasa Hosoya (“Kaito”, Ajin) as “Gigina”.
