GMA-7 set to premiere Gaist Crusher anime series on Saturday

The 2013 anime series is part of a cross-media franchise, which include manga adaptations by Shueisha and video games developed by Treasure and published by Capcom.

Terrestrial broadcaster GMA Network has announced in a television advertisement that the action anime Gaist Crusher is set to premiere on the channel next weekend.

The show will premiere on September 30, airing every Saturday mornings at 08:50am, replacing Virtua Fighters.

Gaimetal, a metallic mineral with high amounts of pure energy, was discovered 50,000 meters underground in 2047, and began mining worldwide. However, Gaist, which are metallic life forms whose bodies are fully embedded with Gaimetal emerged in 2055 and started to attack people.

Gaist Crusher is an anime series that premiered in Japan in 2013. It is part of a cross-media franchise, which includes manga adaptations by Shueisha and video games developed by Treasure and published by Capcom.

The anime was directed by Nobuhiro Takamoto, who also worked in Cyborg Kuro-chan and Beelzebub, while Digimon Adventure scriptwriter Satoru Nishizono handled the series composition.

Yukiko Ishibashi, who worked on several Queen’s Blade anime adaptations, handled character designs, which was produced by anime studio Pierrot.
