As previously reported, Japanese rock group ONE OK ROCK has announced on Friday their upcoming “AMBITIONS Asia Tour 2018”, which is scheduled to happen in several Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, this January.

Local concert and events organizer Pulp Live World has revealed on Friday the ticket prices for the popular rock band’s second performance in the country.

 

Unlike their first concert in 2016, the price range for their upcoming performance will now range from PHP2,500 to PHP8,000, which had been divided into five tiers.

PHP8,000 (about US$160.00) – Platinum Rock Zone
PHP6,000 (about US$120.00) – Gold Rock Zone
PHP5,000 (about US$100.00) – Lower Box A
PHP4,000 (about US$80.00) – Lower Box B
PHP2,500 (about US$50.00) – Upper Box

ONE OK ROCK is a popular Japanese rock band formed in 2005, which consists of band members Taka (Takahiro Moriuchi) on Vocals, Toru (Toru Yamashita) on lead guitars, Ryota (Ryota Kohama) on bass and Tomoya (Tomoya Kanki) on drums

The band rose to the mainstream music scene when the song “The Beginning” was picked to be the theme song of the highly-popular Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie in 2012.

Their songs “Mighty Long Fall” and “Heartache” were also picked as the theme for the live-action movie’s sequels, Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends respectively, in 2014.

Since then, ONE OK ROCK have received international success with collaboration with Western rock groups such as Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, All Time Low, and Linkin Park.

The group was supposed to be a part of Linkin Park’s One More Light tour in North America and Japan as the opening act, but the North America shows had been cancelled because of vocalist Chester Bennington’s death in July. As of press time, the Japan tour dates is still listed on the band’s website.

 

The band are currently signed with Japanese music label A-Sketch, which is a subsidiary of Amuse Inc., and American music label Fueled by Ramen, which one of the music labels of Warner Music.

They had recently released their eighth album, “Ambitions”, last January. Currently, they are on their “AMBITIONS World Tour 2017”, performing in the United Kingdom, Russia, South America, and Australia, which is set to be followed by their European Tour in December.

They have previously performed in Southeast Asian countries, including the Philippines, for the first time in 2016 for their “35xxxv Asia Tour”.
