Singapore-based licensor ODEX has released a statement on Monday announcing that negotiations for Aqours 2nd Love Live! HAPPY PARTY TRAIN TOUR screenings in Southeast Asian countries has broken down.

The company explained that negotiations to screen the live event in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Philippines, either on a live or delayed basis, has been unsuccessful because licensing of the event has been “complicated and difficult”.

But despite the difficulty, the licensor promises to “continue to work and find a way”.

The statement also mentioned that the licensor are planning to hold activities related to the highly-popular idol franchise, particularly to the territories they handle.

They are asking fans for patience and for their continued support, because the activities “will take time to prepare”.

Understandably, the fans of the popular franchise showed disappointment on the announcement, but almost all comments on the Facebook post has expressed their thanks to the licensor for the effort in negotiating the event.

Aqours 2nd Love Live! HAPPY PARTY TRAIN TOUR is the second live event of the Love Live! Sunshine idol group Aqours, following their first live event which happened last February.

Unlike the previous live events, the second live will be done in three cities in Japan, which started in Nagoya at the Nippon Gaishi Hall last August 5-6, then followed by Kobe at the World Memorial Hall last August 19-20.

The final stop to the live tour will be at the MetLife Dome (also known as Seibu Dome) in Saitama on September 29-30, which has a capacity of more than 30,000 people.

Overseas Live Viewing have been announced for South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
