Singapore-based licensor ODEX Pte. Ltd. has announced on Friday they will bring the popular comedy series Crayon Shin-chan’s 25th animated film and the first part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure live-action film to cinemas in Southeast Asia.
The upcoming titles are in addition to previously announced titles, including The Irregular in Magic High school the Movie: The Girl Who Calls the Stars and the first part of Eureka Seven film trilogy.
Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: INVASION! Alien Shiriri is set to be screened in the following countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable – Part 1 live-action movie is set to be screened in the following countries: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Premiere date and other details regarding the screening of both movies will be announced at a later date.
Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: INVASION! Alien Shiriri

One day, the Nohara family met a mysterious alien from outer space named Shiriri. On being basked by a ray emitted by Shiriri, Hiroshi and Misae became 25 years younger and appeared as kids. Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: INVASION! Alien Shiriri is the 25th animated film adaptation of the popular series Crayon Shin-chan.
The movie was written and directed by Masakazu Hashimoto, who directed the anime series Haruchika – Haruta & Chika, which was produced by Shin-Ei Animation and distributed by TOHO.
Akiko Yajima, the long-time voice actor who portrayed “Shinnosuke Nohara”, once again voiced the character for the movie. Miyuki Sawashiro, who voiced “Celty Sturluson” in the popular anime Durarara!!, will portray the alien “Shiriri”.

Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable – Chapter 1 is a live-action movie based on Part 4 of the popular manga series Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, which ran from 1992-1995 at Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The manga has a total of 18 volumes.
The live-action movie was directed by Takashi Miike, who also directed the 2012 live-action movie adaptation of Ace Attorney and the 2016 live-action movie adaptation of Terra Formars, which was produced by Warner Bros. Japan and distributed by TOHO.
Kento Yamasaki, who portrayed “Kosei Arima” in Your Lie in April live-action film, played the lead character “Josuke Higashikata”, while Yusuke Iseya, who portrayed “Aoshi Shinomori” in the Rurouni Kenshin live-action films, played “Jotaro Kujo”.
