Local events organizer Cosplay.ph has announced on Friday that the anisong artist Konomi Suzuki will perform on Cosplay Mania this year.

The popular singer will the first special guest that is set to grace the highly-popular event this year, happening on September 30 and October 1 at the SMX Convention Center – Manila in Pasay City.

The performance at the event will be a part of her Asia Tour, which will be followed in Shenzen and Shanghai in October.

 

According to the artist’s official website, her performance will be held on September 30, the first day of the event, but the event organizers has not officially confirmed this as of press time.

Complete details of the upcoming event, including cosplay and musical guest, will be announced in the next few days.

 

 Konomi Suzuki is a Japanese singer from Osaka prefecture, currently signed to the Media Factory music label. She entered the music industry after winning the 5th All-Japan Anisong Grand Prix music competition in 2011 at the age of 14.

Suzuki’s first single “Choir Jail”, which was used as the opening theme song for the mystery anime Dusk Maiden of Amnesia, was released in April 2012.

She is also known for singing “Days of Dash” for the romantic comedy anime The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, “This Game” for the fantasy adventure anime No Game, No Life, and “Redo” for the action adventure anime Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.

She has recently released her 13th single “Blow Out”, which is being used for the comedy anime series Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor, last month.

 

Suzuki announced in her birthday concert event last year that she is set to have her voice acting debut as the lead character of an upcoming original anime series Lost Song.

There is still no word yet when the anime series will premiere.
