Southeast Asian manga publisher Shogakukan Asia has announced on Wednesday that the first volume of the English-language version of Mami Kawashibara’s BanG Dream! manga will be available in Singapore bookstores on Thursday.
To commemorate the launch of the manga, an exclusive BanG Dream! illustrated photo card, which was previously available only in Japan, will be included in the first-print edition of the volume.
Readers in Singapore will also get the chance to win an A2 tapestry if they join a lucky draw contest.
Following the release in Singapore, the manga is set to be available in bookstores in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand and the Philippines.
In the Philippines, Shogakukan Asia titles are available in Fully Booked and National Bookstore branches.
The publisher also says that they could “explore opportunities” with partners in other territories to release the manga outside Southeast Asia.

BanG Dream! is a Japanese media franchise project created by game studio Bushiroad in January 2015, which consist of the musical group “Poppin’ Party” formed in February of the same year.
The franchise has published three manga series since 2015 and an anime adaptation which was aired on ANIMAX Asia in a simulcast basis, while girl group has released three singles and recently held their third live performance in February.
