Singapore-based event organizers SOZO Pte. Ltd. has announced on Wednesday that they will be joining forces with Sotsu Co. Ltd., organizers of the highly-popular C3 in Hong Kong and C3 CharaExpo in Singapore, to form a brand new event platform called C3 AFA.
The new event is described as a “brand new chapter” in Japanese pop-culture scene, which will be covering most of Asia-Pacific Region.
A spokesperson for SOZO has told Anime Pilipinas that all events branded under Anime Festival Asia and C3 will now be under the “C3 AFA” banner from here on.
The organizers of the new event also announced the dates and locations of their upcoming events, which will be held in Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore this year, and Hong Kong in 2018.

When asked if the organizers would be interested in holding C3 AFA in the Philippines, the spokesperson said that SOZO does not want to make any further comment on possible future activities in the country.
