Anime Pilipinas has learned the Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv is set to premiere the anime movie Love Live! The School Idol Movie this January.

A representative of the network has told APN the 2015 animated movie of the franchise will feature new dubbers, different from those who voiced on the two television anime series, which was also aired on the channel.

The story of the film begins after the events of the second season, at the graduation ceremony of the third-year students. Knowing that the graduation of the third-year members means the end of μ’s, the nine girls take a walk around the school filled with memories. However, when the students attempt to leave the school gates, a single email is sent to them, and the curtain on a new story for μ’s begins. (Synopsis from SM Cinema)

Love Live! The School Idol Movie is an animated movie adaptation of the highly-popular Love Live! School Idol Project, which was a Japanese multimedia project co-produced by Dengeki G’s magazine of ASCII Media Works, music label Lantis, and animation studio Sunrise.

Takahiko Kyougoku, who directed the two anime adaptations, scriptwriter Jukki Hanada and character designer Yuhei Murota also worked on the movie adaptation, which was produced by anime studio Sunrise.

Love Live! The School Idol Movie premieres on Sunday, January 22, at 12:00pm with an encore at 08:00pm.

 

As previously reportedHEROtv is also set to premiere two anime series next month, Nobunagun and Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation.

Nobunagun premieres on January 20, airing Every Monday to Friday nights at 11:30pm.

Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation premieres on January 27, airing Every Monday to Friday nights at 11:00pm.

 

Love Live! The School Idol Movie, Nobunagun and Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation are three of the 13 anime titles set to air on the anime channel this 2017, which was announced in an event last December 4.
