Anime Pilipinas has learned that Southeast Asian video streaming service iFlix has added popular anime shows Akame ga Kill, No Game No Life and Soul Eater on their line-up.
The anime titles are available in most countries where the streaming service is available, like the Philippines, Indonesia Malaysia and Thailand, which can be viewed in Japanese audio with subtitles.
Akame ga Kill

Tatsumi is a self-acknowledge country bumpkin who is nonetheless a well trained fighter. He and two companions leave their remote village to head to the Imperial City to find a way to relieve their friends and family from ruinous taxation imposed by the authorities. Yet the Imperial City is filled with unimaginable amounts of corruption and evil from supernatural sources. Akame ga Kill is an anime adaptation of a Japanese shounen manga series, which was written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro. It was serialized on Square Enix’s Gangan Joker magazine since March 2010, and currently has 11 volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Tomoki Kobayashi, who also directed Tears to Tiara, and scripts were handled by Makoto Uezu, who also handled scripts for Utawarerumono and Arpeggio of Blue Steel. Kazuhisa Nakamura, who worked on the popular Steins;Gate series, handled the series’ character designs, and was produced by anime studio White Fox.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Sora Amamiya (“Honoka Mitsui”, The irregular at magic high school) as “Akame” and Soma Saito (“Kengo Shibutani”, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches) as “Tatsumi”.
No Game No Life

No Game No Life is an anime adaptation of a light novel series by Yuu Kamiya, which is being published by Kadokawa’s Media Factory since April 2012 under the MF Bunko J imprint. The novel currently has nine (9) volumes, which also has a manga adaptation since 2013.
The anime adaptation is directed by Atsuko Ishizuka, who also directed The Pet Girl of Sakurasou and Hanayamata, while series composition are handled by well-known scriptwriter Jukki Hanada. Koji Odate, who worked on the anime anohana, handled the character designs, which is produced by anime studio Madhouse.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Ai Kayano (“Aina Sakurai”, Valvrave the Liberator) as “Shiro” and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (“Kirito”, Sword Art Online) as “Sora”.

Soul Eater is an anime adaptation of the manga series, written and illustrated by Atsushi Okubo, which was serialized by Square Enix’s Monthly Shonen Gangan magazine from May 2004 to August 2013. The manga has a total of 25 volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Takuya Igarashi, while the series composition was made by Akatsuki Yamatoya, who both worked on the Ojamajo Doremi series. Character designs are made by Yoshiyuki Ito, who worked on titles like Fullmetal Alchemist and Ghost in the Shell franchise, which was produced by anime studio Bones.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Chiaki Omigawa (“Nazuna”, Hidamari Sketch series) as “Maka Albarn” and Kouki Uchiyama (“Messer Ihlefeld”, Macross Delta) as “Soul Eater”.
The three titles added to the iFlix were previously added on competitor Netflix in Asia-Pacific when the service had gone worldwide last January.
At the moment, iFlix is offering titles from ANIPLUS Asia, while Netflix still has limited offerings in Asia including Air Gear, Gunslinger Girl, Rurouni Kenshin, Bleach and several others.
