Japanese entertainment distributor Live Viewing Japan has announced on their Facebook page on Thursday that they will be broadcasting GRANRODEO’s upcoming concert from Tokyo in the Philippines and four other Asian countries this July.
The popular Japanese rock band’s performance in Zepp DiverCity Tokyo will be streamed live in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines on Friday, July 22, starting at 06:00pm (05:00pm JKT/BKK). This will be the band’s first “live viewing” broadcast.
In the Philippines, the screening will be held at Cinema 6 of the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, according to Cosplay.ph, the local partner of the distributor.
Tickets will be priced at PHP1,100, which will be on sale starting Thursday, June 30, at 10:00am, and comes with a free limited edition poster of the event.
The band is set to hold the “GRANRODEO LIVE TOUR 2016 TREASURE CANDY” concert throughout Japan from July to September this year, starting in Fukuoka on July 2 and ends in Nagoya in September 4.
The live tour coincides with the band’s 11th year in the industry and the release of their 24th single, “Trash Candy”, which is also the opening theme song for the anime Bungo Stray Dogs.
GRANRODEO is a popular Japanese rock band composed of Kisho Taniyama (a.k.a. KISHOW), handling vocals & lyrics, and Masaaki Iizuka (a.k.a. e-ZUKA), handling music composition, arrangement, back-up vocals and lead guitars. The group was formed in 2005 and currently being handled by the music label Lantis.
The band is known for playing theme songs for anime series, like Blassreiter, Code:Breaker, Karneval and Kuroko’s Basketball.
KISHOW is also a voice actor, portraying lead roles in anime series like Gurren Lagann, Attack of Titan, To Aru Majutsu no Index series, Uta no Prince-sama series, and Bungo Stray Dogs.
