Blue Spring Ride, Space Brothers premieres on HEROtv this February

Magic Kaito 1412 also set to have its Cable TV premiere next month.

Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv has announced on Tuesday that three new titles are set to premiere on the channel next month, including the anime series Blue Spring Ride.

This follows the announcement of it’s program highlights for the whole year, which includes the romantic comedy anime and other popular titles like Food Wars! Shokugeki no Souma and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches.

Other titles also set to premiere this month are Magic Kaito 1412 and Space Brothers.

Blue Spring Ride, also known by the title “Ao Haru Ride”, is an anime adaptation of a Japanese shoujo manga series by Io Sakisaka, which was serialized by Shueisha on Bessatsu Margaret magazine from February 2011 to February 2015. The manga has a total of 13 volumes.

The anime adaptation was directed by Ai Yoshimura, who also directed the first My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU series, while scripts was handled by veteran scriptwriter Tomoko Konparu. Character designs were made by Rena Igawa, which was produced by Production I.G.

Aside from the anime series, the manga is also adapted into light novel by Shueisha’s Cobalt magazine, and a live-action film adaptation was also released in 2014.

Blue Spring Ride premieres on Tuesday, February 02, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 11:00pm.

Magic Kaito 1412 is the second anime adaptation of the action manga series Magic Kaito, written & illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, which is being serialized by Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine since 1987.

The series was directed by Susumu Kudo, who also directed the Mardock Scramble movies, while the scripts were made by Kunihiko Okada and Toshiya Ono. Character designs were made by Hiromi Ogata, which was produced by A-1 Pictures.

The first anime adaptation, Magic Kaito: Kid the Phantom Thief, was previously aired on terrestrial network GMA Network (which is the main competitor of HEROtv’s parent network ABS-CBN) in February last year, which was subsequently followed by Magic Kaito 1412 a few weeks later.

Magic Kaito 1412 premieres on Wednesday, February 10, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 08:00pm.

Space Brothers is the first anime adaptation of a Japanese manga series by Chuya Koyama, which is being serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Morning magazine since December 2007. The manga currently has 27 volumes.

The anime adaptation by Ayumu Watanabe, who also directed several movie adaptations of Doraemon, while character designs were made by Naruto Shippuden: Blood Prison movie animator Koji Yabuno. The anime has 99 episodes, which was produced by A-1 Pictures.

Aside from the anime series, the manga was also adapted into a live-action film in May 2012 and an animated feature film in August 2014.

Space Brothers premieres on Wednesday, February 24, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 08:00pm.

 

Other titles set to return next month include Captain Earth, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, One Week Friends, To Ary Majutsu no Railgun S and Yowamushi Pedal.
