Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is the 19th animated feature film based on the highly-popular Dragon Ball franchise, as well as the 15th under the Dragon Ball Z branding, which was released in Japan last April 18. The movie was also the first Japanese film to be screened in IMAX 3D theaters.

The screenplay and character designs were handled by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, which was directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro and produced by Toei Animation.

The Japanese voice cast were lead by Masako Nozawa as Son Goku & Son Gohan, and Ryusei Nakao as Frieza.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ was screened in selected theaters in the Philippines last June, which was distributed by the Singapore-based licensing company ODEX Pte. Ltd.

The anime movie followed the screening of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods in August 2013, which was distributed by local film distributor Pioneer Films.

The movie eventually had a television premiere on terrestrial network ABS-CBN in January this year, which subsequently aired on HEROtv a few weeks later. Both broadcasts are in Filipino dubbing.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ premieres on Sunday, January 10, at 08:00pm.
