
Anime Pilipinas has learned that the Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv is set to air new seasons of Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, Initial D, Kuroko’s Basketball and Chaika: The Coffin Princess this month of December.
The 2009 live-action movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, starring Kristin Kreuk, is also set to premiere this month.

Free! Eternal Summer is the first sequel of the 2013 television anime series, produced by Kyoto Animation, directed by Hiroko Utsumi, written by Masahiro Yokotani and character designs by Futoshi Nishiya.
Free! Eternal Summer premieres on Friday, December 4, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 07:30pm.

Initial D: Fifth Stage is the ninth anime adaptation of the popular car racing manga by Shuichi Shigeno, which was published by Shueisha’s Young Magazine from 1995 to 2013 and has a total of 48 volumes.
The anime was directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto, who also directed Bakugan Battle Brawlers anime series and worked on Dragon Ball anime adaptations, produced by anime studio A.C.G.T.
Initial D: Fifth Stage premieres on Friday, December 4, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 08:30pm.
Kuroko’s Basketball – Season 3

Kuroko’s Basketball is the anime adaptation of the basketball manga series by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, which was serialized on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from December 2008 to September 2014 and has a total of 30 volumes.
Shunsuke Tada, who directed the second season returned to work on this season, while Noburo Takagi also returned to handle the scripts. Character designs were made by Yoko Kikuchi, which was produced by renowned anime studio Production I.G.
Kuroko’s Basketball – Season 3 premieres on Tuesday, December 15, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 09:30pm.
Chaika: The Coffin Princess – Avenging Battle

Chaika: The Coffin Princess – Avenging Battle is the second anime adaptation of the popular light novel series, written by Ichiro Sakaki and illustrated by Namaniku ATK, which was serialized by Fujimi Shobo under Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint from December 2010 until last March. The novel has a total of 12 volumes.
The first anime adaptation’s staff returned to work on the series, including director Soichi Masui and scriptwriter Touko Machida. Ichiro Sakaki adapted Namaniku ATK’s original character designs, which was produced by anime studio BONES.
Chaika: The Coffin Princess – Avenging Battle premieres on Wednesday, December 16, airing every Monday to Friday nights at 06:00pm.
HEROtv’s Theatrixx movie block is featuring the 2009 Western live-action movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, featuring American television actress Kristin Kreuk as the lead character “Chun-Li”, actors Neal McDonough as “M. Bison”, Chris Klein as “Charlie Nash” and the late Michael Clarke Duncan as “Balrog”.
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li premieres on Sunday, December 20, at 12:00am. Encore telecast at 12:00pm and 08:00pm.
