Pan-regional anime channel ANIMAX Asia is set to air two (2) popular anime titles this August, which are Magical Warfare and Mekakucity Actors.
One day, Takeshi Nanase, a regular high school student with a dark past, encounters Mui Aiba, a girl from another world, and ends up getting involved in a grand battle between magicians. He chooses to join the fight in order to help Mui, save the world and change his own destiny…
Magical Warfare is an anime adaptation of a Japanese light novel series, which was written by Hisashi Suzuki and illustrated by Lunalia. The light novel being serialized by Media Factory, under the MF Bunko J imprint, since November 2011 and currently has 11 volumes.
Yuzo Sato, who directed the anime adaptation of Gokusen, directed the anime series, while the series composition was handled by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who also worked on other anime titles like Monster, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, NANA and Is the order a rabbit?.
Ryouma Ebata, who also worked on the anime Busou Shinki, adapted Lunalia’s character designs, which was produced by the renowned anime studio MADHOUSE. The anime series has 12 episodes.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Nao Toyama (Kanon Nakagawa, The World God Only Knows) as “Mui Aiba”, and Mamoru Miyano (Takuto Tsunashi, Stardriver) as “Takeshi Nanase”.
Magical Warfare premieres on Tuesday, August 04, airing two-episodes back-to-back every Monday and Tuesday nights at 08:00pm SGT/PHT (07:00pm JKT/BKK)

Mekakucity Actors is an anime series based on “Kagerou Project”, which is a Vocaloid song series created by Jin (also known as Shizen no Teki-P).
The anime series was directed by Akiyuki Simbo and Yuki Yase, while Jin personally handled the story & the background music used on the series. Gen’ichirou Abe, who worked on anime titles like Hidamari Sketch and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, handled character designs, which was produced by anime studio SHAFT.
The voice cast were lead by Yuko Kaida as “Tsubomi Kido”, Souichiro Hoshi as “Kousuke Seto”, Shinnosuke Tachibana as “Shuuya Kano”, Kana Hanazawa as “Marry Kozakura”, Nanami Kashiyama as “Momo Kisaragi”, Kana Asumi as “Takane Enemoto”, Takuma Terashima as “Shintaro Kisaragi”, Misuzu Togashi as “Hibiya Amamiya”, and Mamoru Miyano as “Konoha”.
Mekakucity Actors premiere on Tuesday, August 18, airing two-episodes back-to-back every Monday and Tuesday nights at 10:00pm SGT/PHT (09:00pm JKT/BKK).
