Award-winning Japanese comic books translated in Tagalog? It’s just been made possible by Viva Psicom! Viva Psicom obtained license from Kodansha, Japan’s largest publishing company, for readers to enjoy the Philippine edition of world-renowned manga books, starting with Attack on Titan and Fairy Tail which are now available in all National Bookstore branches for only P195.

Written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, the manga series Attack on Titan takes us to a world where bizarre, gigantic humanoid creatures have killed most of mankind.  For the past century, survivors have been hiding in a city surrounded by enormous walls, but the time has come when they are no longer safe. Titans invade the hometown of Eren Yeager, and his mother becomes one of the casualties.  Vowing to take revenge, Eren enlists in the military to fight the Titans, accompanied by his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their childhood friend Armin Arlert. As the story progresses, the truth behind the origin of the Titans is revealed, and Eren makes an astounding discovery about himself.

Attack on Titan began serialization in Kodansha on September 9, 2009. It has been collected into 14 volumes as of August 2014. As of November 2014, 45 million volumes have been printed, making it a tremendous commercial success.  It won the 2011 Kodansha Manga Award. It will soon hit the big screen with Attack on Titan  Movie to be released on August and September 2015.

The manga series Fairy Tail, written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima, follows the adventures of Lucy Heartfilia, a teenage wizard who runs away from home to join Fairy Tail, a famous wizard guild in the kingdom of Fiore. She teams up with Natsu Dragneel, a dragon slayer who is in search of his foster father, the dragon Igneel.

Tagalized Attack on Titan comes in 14 volumes for Season 1 while Fairy Tail comes in 15 volumes for Season 1.  Frequency of release is once a month.
