A representative of SM Cinema has told Anime Pilipinas that the latest anime movie adaptation of the highly-popular Dragon Ball series will be screened in the Philippines next month.
Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is set to premiere exclusively at select SM Cinema branches in 2D starting Wednesday, June 10, which is being distributed by Singapore-based ODEX Pte. Ltd.
The branches which will carry the anime movie will be announced on a later date.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F’ is the 19th animated feature film based on the highly-popular Dragon Ball franchise, as well as the 15th under the Dragon Ball Z branding, which was released in Japan last April 18. The movie was also the first Japanese film to be screened in IMAX 3D theaters.
The screenplay and character designs were handled by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, which was directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro and produced by Toei Animation.
The Japanese voice cast were lead by Masako Nozawa as Son Goku & Son Gohan, and Ryusei Nakao as Frieza.
The previous anime movie adaptation, Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, was released in the country on August 2013, distributed by local film distributor Pioneer Films.
The movie had its television premiere on terrestrial network ABS-CBN last January in Filipino-dubbing, which was subsequently aired on its anime channel HERO a few weeks later.
On the other hand, Dragon Ball’s previous television and movie adaptations were aired on terrestrial network GMA since the year 2000.
