The biggest boxing match of the year, which some even call as “The Match of the Century”, will happen this Saturday in Las Vegas.

The Big three terrestrial networks in the Philippines, ABS-CBN, GMA Network and TV5, will be airing the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather boxing match in a joint simulcast, in partnership with rights holder Solar Entertainment Corporation this Sunday.

 

In conjunction with the much-anticipated boxing match, the three terrestrial networks has announced that there will be special pre-fight programming which will pre-empt their respective Sunday morning anime time blocks.

ABS-CBN will air the edutainment program Matanglawin at 08:30am, pre-empting the regularly scheduled Kuroko’s Basketball S2 and Haikyuu!

GMA will air the 1996 comedy movie “Joe’s Apartment” at 07:00am, pre-empting the regularly scheduled programming, including Grimm’s Fairy Tales and Kamen Rider OOO.

TV5 will pre-empt its regular programming from 09:00am onwards, which include TV5 AniMEGA shows like Sword Art Online II, Fushigi Yuugi and Fushigi Yuugi OVA 1.

 

The networks will air their respective pre-fight broadcast at 09:00am, while the joint simulcast of the event will air in a delayed telecast basis at about 10:00am.

The live telecast of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao: Battle For Greatness will be available on Pay-per-view starting at 08:00am Manila time.
