
SM Cinema has posted on their website the key visual for the Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova DC- movie, which has been included on their “Coming Soon” list.
A representative of the movie house has told Anime Pilipinas that the anime movie will be screened exclusively at SM Cinema branches, and it is expected to have its premiere this May.
The official release date of the movie will be announced soon.

Arpeggio of Blue Steel, also known as Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio (蒼き鋼のアルペジオ), is a Japanese manga series produced by Ark Performance. It is being serialized by Shonen Gahosha on Young King OURs magazine since September 2009, and currently has nine (9) volumes.
The series now has a television anime adaptation, which was previously aired on ANIMAX Asia last August, as well as two (2) anime movies.
The first movie, titled Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova DC-, premiered in Japanese theaters last January 31, is a compilation of the TV anime series with additional scenes. The second movie, titled Arpeggio of Blue Steel -Ars Nova Cadenza-, will have a brand new story and is set to be released in Japan this October.
Director Seiji Kishi, Scriptwriter Makoto Uezu and Character designer Kazuaki Morita, who worked on the romantic-comedy anime My Bride is a Mermaid, also worked on the television and movie adaptations.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Kazuyuki Okitsu (Masaomi, Brothers Conflict) as Gunzo Chihaya, Mai Fuchigami (Kaede Ikeno, Sakura Trick) as Iona, and Manami Numakura (Arata Kohata, Black Rock Shooter) as Takao.
As previously reported, THE LAST – Naruto the Movie is also set to be released this May 13, after months of delay due to “technical problems”, but it has been observed that SM Cinema has yet to add any information regarding the movie on their website.
The representative also tells Anime Pilipinas that the screening date of the Naruto is still considered as “tentative”.
