The summer season may have ended a lot early for Kapamilya anime fans.
Terrestrial network ABS-CBN has announced a brand new schedule of their morning block starting this Monday, April 13, which includes an encore of the teen drama series “My App Boyfie”, under the “WansapanaSummer” banner, starting James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
The new schedule will result to the popular volleyball-themed anime series Haikyuu!! getting booted off the morning block just a week after the program premiered. The seventh season of Naruto Shippuden will now be moving to 09:15am, right after Spongebob Squarepants.
ABS-CBN has yet to give an explanation regarding the sudden schedule change.
Some anime fans took to social media regarding the sudden removal of the anime, and these are some of the examples of which:
Ano ba yan.
