Otakuzine Anime Magazine is going to place its bets again at the SM Megamall’s Megatrade Halls this year for the tenth staging of their popular Ozine Fest event with big name guests in their roster.

Returning guests Ying Tze, Misa, Luffy and Tsubasa will join first-time Manila guests Angie, Shiraga, and Tuna, alongside noted illustrator DMYO and noted cosplay photographer Shiro Ang in the event scheduled for April 24 to 26.
Last Year, Ozine Fest was held for the first time at the SMX Convention Center – Manila, an event filled with chaos and distress that even Otakuzine Anime Magazine editor-in-chief Dennis Uy admitted that it was a learning experience for them to hold the event there.
“Every event naman, nagkaka-encounter ka ng kahit anong problem, kumbaga, laging may bago… sabi ko nga, charge [it] to experience” he said.
Misa and Ying Tze are both regular Ozine Events guests, which include Ozine Fest 2014 held at the SMX Manila last year , while Luffy and Tsubasa were in Manila for Otaku Expo Reload 2014 last August.
They will be joined by first time Manila visitors Angie, who was one of the cosplay guests in Anime Festival Asia 2014 held in Singapore last December. She was also the official cosplayer of the AFA Original character Seika.
Shiraga, from Taiwan, and Tuna, from South Korea, completes the cast of guest cosplayers who will be gracing the event, alongside noted Illustrator DMYO, who drew some of the designs for some of the characters from the Culture Japan project of noted pop-culture blogger and TV Host Danny Choo, and Shiro Ang, A Singaporean photographer who is famous for some of this cosplay photos with top Asian cosplayers.
This year, Ozine returns to the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls and will take the entire area (Halls 1-3 and Function rooms A and B) since it was last held there in 2013.
Otakuzine Anime Magazine has been holding events at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls since 2007, when they moved Ozine Fest to April and making it a permanent summer fixture.
The First Ozine Fest was held at the Octagon Trade Hall of Robinson’s Galleria in December 2005, while the Second one, which coincided with the National Cosplay Competition where more than 120 cosplayers battled it out to become the first and only National Cosplay Champion, was held at the Le Pavillion Events Place at the Metropolitan Park in Pasay City in July 2006.
Alongside with the guests are other activities like the Individual and Group Cosplay competition, a Brand new Manga Festival area, the Ozine Maid Cafe, Battle of the Bands, Art and Eating contests, among others.
Tickets for the event will be announced on a later date alongside possible tickets for the meet and greet sessions and other activities.
According to a source, They are considering to sell the tickets via SM Tickets.
