Log Horizon set to premiere on HEROtv this March?

Second season of the popular sci-fi adventure anime currently airing in Japan.

Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv is airing a teaser since Saturday, which shows that the highly-popular sci-fi adventure anime Log Horizon may be premiering on the channel next month.

The official premiere date and time will be announced in the coming days.

 

Elder Tales is an online fantasy RPG that has become popular worldwide. But when its twelfth expansion package, “Cultivate the Noosphere,” is installed, thirty thousand players in Japan are trapped inside. Among them is grad student Shiroe, who isn’t very good at interacting with others. Log Horizon is originally a Japanese novel series written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara, which is currently being serialized by Enterbrain since March 2011. The novel currently has eight (8) volumes. The series also has four (4) manga adaptation which started in 2012, which is all written by Touno.

The anime adaptations are directed by Shinji Ishihira, who also directed the equally popular anime adaptations of Fairy Tail, while Getbackers screenplay writer Toshizo Nemoto handles the scripts. Mariko Ito adapted the original character designs by Hara, which is being produced by anime studio Satelight.

The first anime adaptation were aired in Japan from October 2013 to March 2014, while the second anime adaptation has been running since October 2014 and is currently on-going. Both seasons were streamed by Japanese streaming service Crunchyroll in selected territories.
