Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv has announced through television advertisements that two (2) anime series are lined-up to premiere on the channel next month, which are One Week Friends and the third season of Hakuoki.
The anime channel is also set to start the month of February with the premiere of the anime movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.
One Week Friends
一週間フレンズ。
High school sophomore Yuuki Hase noticed that Kaori Fujimiya, his classmate, was always alone. He tried to start a conversation with her but was turned down: “My memories of friendship can last only a week,” she said. One Week Friends, also known as Isshukan Friends, is an anime adaptation of a Japanese manga series by Matcha Hazuki, which was serialized on Square Enix magazine Gangan Joker since January 22, and the six (6) and final volume was sold this month.
The anime adaptation was directed by Tarou Iwasaki, who also directed the mystery anime Ryoko’s Case Files, while My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU scriptwriter Shotaro Suga handled the series composition. Eri Yamazaki worked as the chief animation director and adapted Hazuki’s character design, which was produced by anime studio Brain’s Base.
The anime series was aired in Japan from April to June 2014, and has a total of 12 episodes.
One Week Friends is set to premiere on Thursday, February 05.

The third season of Hakuoki, also known as Hakuoki Reimeiroku, is the fourth anime adaptation & the third television anime series of the popular video game franchise by Idea Factory. The anime series was aired in Japan from July to September 2012, and has a total of 12 episodes.
Osamu Yamasaki, who directed the previous adpatations, and Atsuko Nakajima, who handled character designs on the previous adaptations, returns to work on the third television series. It was once again produced by popular anime studio Studio DEEN.
Hakuoki – Season 3 is set to premiere on Thursday, February 26.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is the 18th movie of the Dragon Ball franchise and the 14th movie under the Dragon Ball Z branding. It is also the first Dragon Ball movie in about 17 years, where the last one was during the franchise’s tenth anniversary movie, titled “Dragon Ball: The Path to Power”, in 1996.
Masahiro Hosoda, who worked on titles like Saint Seiya and Jigoku Shoujo, directed the anime movie, while Yuusuke Watanabe, who worked on the two live-action Gantz movies, handles the film’s screenplay.
The anime movie has recently premiered on terrestrial network ABS-CBN, which is also the parent network of the anime channel, last January 04.
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods is set to have its channel premiere on Sunday, February 01, with encore telecasts on February 15 (Sunday) and February 28 (Saturday).
