Golden Time is an anime adaptation of a Japanese light novel series, written by Yuyuko Takemiya with illustrations by Eeji Komatsu. The series was published on ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko Magazine from September 2010 to March 2014, and has 11 volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Chiaki Kon, who also directed the two (2) sequels of Nodame Cantabile, while Full Metal Panic scriptwriter Fumihiko Shimo handled the series composition. To Aru Majutsu no Index animation director Shinya Hasegawa adapted Komatsu’s character designs, which was produced by anime studio J.C. Staff.
