
The organizers of the highly-popular Anime Festival Asia has announced the talent agency Horipro is set to return this year to showcase some of their talents.
Horipro artistes that are set to appear will be the popular anisong singer May’n, voice actress Ayaka Ohashi, actor Hayato Kakizawa, singer & actress Tomomi Kasai, and voice actress Azusa Tadokoro.
May’n is a well-known anisong singer, who had sung theme songs from various anime titles such as Ookami-san & Her Seven Companions, Shangri-La, Btooom!, Accel World, and Macross Frontier.
She had recently performed across Japan, as well as Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, and two cities in the United States and China for her “dots & lines” Japan and World tour.
She is also a regular fixture at AFA in Singapore, who had been a special guest for the event since it’s inception in 2008, as well as AFA Indonesia in Jakarta in 2013.
Ayaka Ohashi is a Japanese voice actress since 2012, who had voiced characters in anime titles like Eureka Seven AO, Dokidoki Precure, and more recently “Kurome” from Akame ga Kill and “Momoka Sonokawa” of Sabagebu!
She is also set to appear on I Love Anisong Mega Music Festival this year, where she portray her role as “Uzuki Shimamura” from the upcoming anime series The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls.
Hayato Kakizawa is a Japanese actor who is known for roles in Kaiji 2: Jinsei dakkai gemu and Gekijouban Bad Boys J: Saigo ni mamorumono. He will play the lead role of “Light” of the stage musical adaptation of Death Note, which is set to open in April 2015.
Tomomi Kasai is a Japanese singer and actress, who had played “Elizabeth” in Kamen Rider W and some of its movie adaptations. She was a former member of the highly-popular idol group AKB48, who is also associated in the sub-unit Queen & Elizabeth with former member Tomomi Itano.
Azusa Tadokoro is a Japanese voice actress who played roles like “Fino Bloodstone” from Yu-Shibu, “Kotori Takatori” from Brynhildr in the Darkness, “Hiro” from Himegoto, and “Murasaki Edoyama” of Tokyo ESP.
Anime Festival Asia 2014 will be held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center from December 05-07, 2014 and it is organized by Sozo Pte. Ltd., Zapp Live and Dentsu.
