The organizers of Anime Festival Asia (AFA) 2014 has announced on their Facebook page additional cosplayer guests that will appear on the highly-popular December event.
Aside from the seven (7) cosplayers previously announced, the organizers adds World Cosplay Summit (WCS) 2012 Singapore representatives AYA ☆ and Raistlin, South Korean cosplayer Aza Miyuko.
Renowned cosplayers KANAME☆, REIKA, and Yuegene Fay will also be a part of AFA 2014, where they will be appearing at the Starchild booth.
AYA ☆ (Valerie Aya) is a Singaporean cosplayer since 2009, and cosplayed characters from popular anime titles like No Game, No Life (NGNL), Love Live! School Idol Project and Accel World.
She is one-half of the duo who represented Singapore in major cosplay competitions like the Asia Cosplay Meet 2011, where they took 1st runner-up, and World Cosplay Summit 2012, where they also took 1st runner-up and Best costume award (Brother award).
Raistlin (Frank Koh) is a Singaporean cosplayer since 2005, who became famous in cosplaying Kamui Gakupo from Vocaloid and Wild Tiger from the anime series Tiger & Bunny. He also portayed characters from Black Butler, Noragami and Kuroko’s Basketball.
He is the other half of Singapore’s representative to Asia Cosplay Meet 2011 and World Cosplay Summit 2012, and he also represented the country for AFA’s Asian Regional Cosplay Championship (ARCC) in 2012 with Shinji.
Aza Miyuko (Kang Yun Jin) is a popular cosplayer from South Korea, who is famous for cosplaying characters such as Kuroneko (Ruri Goto) of Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai, Inori Yuzuriha of Guilty Crown, and Mikasa Ackerman of Attack on Titan.
Aza has attended AFAMY, together with SP Cats, in Kuala Lumpur in 2012 and more recently, AFAID in Jakarta last August. She has also visited the Philippines for three (3) times, where she returned last April for Ozine Fest 2014 together with fellow Korean cosplayers Yannbyul & JDoll, Taiwanese cosplayers Misa & Yazi, and fellow AFA 2014 cosplayer guest Ying Tze.
Recently, Aza represented South Korea, together with DangerousMan (Kyoung Hwan Song), for this year’s World Cosplay Summit.
KANAME☆ (Kaname Shiroboshi) is a highly-popular cosplayer from Japan, who is widely known for his cosplay of Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VI: Advent Children and Kaito of Vocaloid. Recently, he also cosplayed characters from recent anime titles like Hozuki no Reitetsu and K.
Kaname☆ has appeared on Anime Festival Asia in Singapore since 2009, as well as AFAMY in Kuala Lumpur in 2012 & AFAID in 2012 and 2013. He also appeared on the highly-popular event Cosplay Mania for four (4) times since 2011.
Yuegene Fay is a highly-popular cosplayer from Thailand since 2000, who is widely known in portaying music-related personalities like DIR EN GREY, Kiryu, and Vocaloid. She also portrayed characters from Japanese anime series like Attack on Titan, Free! Iwatobi Swim Club, and K.
Yuegene had visited the Philippines for Fantasy Quest 2 in August 2012.
REIKA (Reika Arikawa) is a highly-popular cosplayer from Japan, who is widely known in portraying male characters like Len Jinguji of Uta no prince-sama series, Levi of Attack on Titan, Ryota Kise of Kuroko’s Basketball, and Barnaby Brooks, Jr. of Tiger & Bunny. She currently ranks #1 on the WorldCosplay.net rankings.
Reika has appeared on AFA for three (3) times, with AFA 2012 as her first, followed by AFA ID 2013 in Jakarta, and once again in Singapore in 2013. She also has visited the Philippines for five (5) times, with three for Cosplay Mania since 2012 and the other two are for University of the Philippines’ AME 1UP & an event in Cebu City in 2013.
More Asian and international cosplayers & guest will be announced in the coming days, as well as other activities that lined-up on the entire floor of the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center.
Anime Festival Asia 2014 will be held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore from December 05-07, 2014, which is organized by Sozo Pte. Ltd., Zapp Live and Dentsu.
