Philippine movie house SM Cinema has announced on Wednesday that the 18th movie of the highly-popular detective franchise Detective Conan is set to be screened in theaters this Wednesday, October 08.

Anime Pilipinas has learned that the animated movie is being distributed by VIVA International Pictures, but is set to be screened in selected SM Cinema branches in Metro Manila.

 

SM Cinema branches that is set to screen the upcoming film are in SM Megamall (Mandaluyong), SM Mall of Asia (Pasay), SM North EDSA (Quezon City), SM Southmall (Las Piñas), SM City Sta. Mesa. (Manila), SM City Fairview (Quezon City), SM City Manila, and SM City Marikina.

But a representative of SM Cinema told Anime Pilipinas that the list of branches are subject to change, and asks everyone to visit the SM Cinema website for the complete listings.

Detective Conan: Dimension Sniper is directed by Kobun Shizuno, who also directed the previous movie adaptations as well as the popular anime series Knights of Sidonia, and screenplay is written by Kasunari Kouchi, who also worked on previous Detective Conan adaptations.

The movie premiered in Japan last April 19, which was on the Japanese box office until June. It was also screened in Taiwan and Malaysia.
