Anime Festival Asia announces Final Batch of I LOVE ANISONG 2014 performers

Yui Horie, The Idolm@ster cast and three more to complete the list of performers of the highly-awaited concert festival.

The organizers of the much-awaited Anime Festival Asia event has announced on Thursday five (5) more Japanese music artists will perform for the I LOVE ANISONG concert this December.

This is in addition to the eight (8) artists, including Eir Aoi, FLOW and May’n, which has been announced last September 12.

 

AFA2014: I LOVE ANISONG - Eri Kitamura

Eri Kitamura is a prominent Japanese voice actress and singer, who worked on roles such as Karen Araragi (Monogatari series), Sayaka Miki (Puella Magi Madoka Magica), Ami Kawashima (Toradora!), Mahiro Yasaka (Haiyore! Nyaruko-san) and Honoka Sisters (Knights of Sidonia).

She also performed singles for Seto no Hanayome, Toradora!, Mayo Chiki, Papa no Iu Koto o Kikinasai! (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!) and Nisemonogatari.

This will be her first appearance to Anime Festival Asia.

 

AFA2014: I LOVE ANISONG - angela

angela is a Japanese pop band, main members composed of Atsuko (Atsuko Yamashita), who handles vocals & song composition, and Katsu (Katsunori Hirasato), who handles song composition/arrangements & guitars.

They performed the theme music of Soukyuu no Fafner, Valvrave the Liberator, Kokoro Connect and Coppellion.

This will be their fifth appearance to an Anime Festival Asia event, and fourth in the Singapore leg.

The IDOLM@STER is a Japanese raising simulation & rhythm video game series created by Bandai Namco Games in 2005, which primary role was to play the role of the “Producer” of a prospective idol group of 765 Productions.

Originally as an arcade game, it has expanded into numerous console devices and into multiple operating system, and was also adapted into printed media, audio dramas, live events and anime series.

For 765 Production’s first performance in Singapore, Asami Imai will portray her role as Chihaya Kisaragi , Yumi Hara will portray her role as Takane Shijou, Manami Numakura will portay her role as Hibiki Ganaha, Ayaka Ohashi will portray her role as Uzuki Shimamura from CINDERELLA GIRLS, and Azusa Tadokoro will portray her role as Shizuka Mogami from MILLION LIVE!

 

AFA2014: I LOVE ANISONG - ROOT FIVE

Root Five (√5) is a five-member boyband group, which was widely popular on the video-sharing site Nico Nico Douga. They are composed of members Dasoku, Pokota, Mi-chan, Kettaro and koma’n.

Two of their songs were used as a theme music for an animated series, “Next Generation” for Saint Seiya Omega and more recently, “Kimi ni Mirai” for Fairy Tail.

 

AFA2014: I LOVE ANISONG - Yui Horie

Yui Horie, also known by her nickname “Hoochan”, is a prominent Japanese voice actress and singer. Her career spans from 1997 to the present day in Japanese anime series & movies, Tokusatsu series and Pop music, as well as her own weekly radio show.

Her recent works include voicing the characters Tsubasa Hanekawa (Monogatari series), Kisara Tendou (Black Bullet), Nana Iida (Rail Wars), and Ena Sakura (Sabagebu!).

Anime Festival Asia 2014 will be held at the Suntec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Center from December 05-07, 2014 and it is organized by Sozo Pte. Ltd., Zapp Live and Dentsu.
