
Miku Hatsune is set to invade the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York as she is confirmed to be featured as a guest musical performer on The Late Show with David Letterman.
The Vocaloid virtual singer, which was developed mainly by Crypton Future Media in collaboration with Yamaha, will perform on the October 08 episode of Letterman’s late-night show, which airs on 11:35pm Eastern Time on CBS in the United States (airing at 11:45pm PHT on RTL-CBS Entertainment).
Miku’s guesting will use the digital 3D projection technology, accompanied by a live musical band. She is expected to perform songs given from the wide community of Miku Hatsune fans.
After the Letterman guesting, She will perform at the MikuExpo to be held at the 7,100-seater Nokia Theater in Los Angeles from October 11-12, while holding an “Hatsune Miku Halloween Party” at the Los Angeles Center Studios.
The concert then flies to the East Coast in New York at the 3,100-capacity Hammerstein Ballroom at the Manhattan Center from October 17-18, while holding a Miku Hatsune Art Exhibition from October 09-19.
Miku last performed for an American audience as the front act for Lady Gaga’s ArtRave, The Artpop Ball Tour from May to June this year.
The MikuExpo is a global concert tour and exhibition of the famed virtual idol, which started in Indonesia last May.
