During the “1st Yokohama Naval Review Rehearsal” event last week, the schedule of the long-awaited anime adaptation of Kantai Collection has been announced, and the series is set to premiere in January 2015.
Keizou Kusakawa, who was the director of several Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha series, is set to direct the upcoming anime, and Jukki Hanada, who worked on popular titles like Love Live! School Idol Project and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!, is set to handle the script composition. It will be produced by the anime studio Diomedea.
As of press time, only three (3) cast members had been announced, which are Sumire Uesaka (as Destroyer Fubuki), Saki Fujita (as Aircraft Carrier Akagi) and Yuka Iguchi (as Aircraft Carrier Kaga).
