Second season of Space Dandy set to premiere the same-time as Japan on July 06.

Pan-regional anime channel ANIMAX Asia is set to air the romantic-comedy anime My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and the popular sci-fi comedy anime Hyperdimension Neptunia the Animation.

This is in addition to the previous announcement of the “same-time as Japan” simulcast of the second season of Space Dandy.

Hachiman Hikigaya is an antisocial high school student with no friends or girlfriend and therefore has a warped view of life. When he hears his classmates speak about their adolescent lives, he believes: “They’re a bunch of liars.” When asked about his future dreams, his response: “Not working.” What happens when a teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer “service club,” which happens to have the school’s prettiest girl – Yukino Yukinoshita.


My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, also known by the titles Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. (やはり俺の青春ラブコメはまちがっている。) or OreGairu, is the an anime adaptation of a Japanese light novel series, which was written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. It is being serialized on Shogakukan’s imprint Gagaga Bunko since March 2011, and currently has nine (9) volumes plus four (4) short story collections.

Ai Yoshimura, who handled storyboard for the popular comedy anime Gintama, directed the anime series, while Ghost in the Shell series scriptwriter Shotaro Suga handled the scripts, and Yuu Shindou handled character designs.

The cast of the series are lead by Takuya Eguchi, who played lead male character Hachiman Hikigaya, and Saori Hayami, who played lead female character Yukino Yukinoshita.

The comedy anime is set to have a second season, but no further announcement on when it will premiere.

Set in the fictional universe of Gamindustri, the Hyper Dimension – The Animation focuses on a group of goddesses who set aside their differences to join forces against the evil Arfoire who threatens their dreamlike world!

The four states of Gamindustri – Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee and Leanbox are each governed by a Goddess. After fighting over Share, the source of the Goddesses’ power for many years, they sign a treaty which forbids each from taking Share energy from others by force.

As the goddesses take their relationships with each other to a new stage, Gamindustri welcomes the dawn of a new, dynamic era marked by shared laughter, with disputes resolved through cooperation.


Hyperdimension Neptunia the Animation is an anime series based on the 2010 role-playing video game developed by Idea Factory and published by Compile Heart. The anime series had a different storyline from the video games.

Masahiro Mukai, who worked on titles like Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Inu X Boku Secret Service, directed the anime series, while Shogo Yasukawa, who is the scriptwriter of some Hayate the Combat Butler!! and Shakugan no Shana III Final episodes, handled the scripts.

The cast is lead by popular seiyuus like Rie Tanaka (as Neptune / Purple), Eri Kitamura (as Uni), and Yui Horie (as Nepgear, Neptune’s sister).

Hyperdimension Neptunia the Animation premieres on Monday, July 28, airing Every Monday to Friday nights at 11:00pm PHT.

As previously mentioned, the second season of Space Dandy is set to air on ANIMAX Asia the same-time as Japan on July 06, airing Every Sunday nights at 10:00pm PHT.

Before the Season 2 premiere, there will be a back-to-back marathon of the whole first season on Saturday, July 05, from 08:30pm to 03:00am PHT.
