Popular cosplayer signs with independent label 12 Stone Inc.

Popular Filipina cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao is set to enter the Original Pilipino Music (OPM) scene as she signed a recording deal with an independent label who also has noted acts Barbie Almalbis and Rocksteddy on their turf.

Gosiengfiao signed a deal with 12 Stone Inc. last Thursday, June 26, according to a report filed by ABS-CBN News.

Aside from Almalbis and Rocksteddy, which is fronted by Teddy Corpuz, 12 Stone also has the acts Save me Hollywood and Absolute Play on their stable.

Gosiengfiao says that fans would expect some cosplay and anime-related music in her forthcoming album.

Siyempre, malaking pasabog po! It’s a new thing for me, and I think it’s also a new thing na magkaroon ng cosplay-ish na music and production. So tingnan po natin kung ano ang mangyayari. I’m excited!” Gosiengfiao was said.

Gosiengfiao’s sister, Ashley, is also into music, as the lead vocalist of the independent band Midnight Meetings.

Gosiengfiao also released a music album in Japan together with the group Super Dolls, together with Japanese cosplayers RiE & Fujaara, and their debut single was titled “Asia no Henshin”.
