EP Single to be released on July 30, with three versions to choose.


The Free! pandemonium is reaching on a fever pitch as OLDCODEX has released a teaser of its music video for the opening theme song of the sporting anime’s 2nd season.

Record label Lantis has released a 15-second tease of OLDCODEX’s new single, titled “Dried Up Youthful Fame”, which will be the Opening theme song of Free!: Eternal Summer.

The single will be available as an EP disc in three options, one as a special limited edition album in which a DVD will be included which will retail for JPY1800 (roughly PhP773).

A standard edition which will cost JPY1300 (Roughtly PhP558) and an Anime-jacket edition which costs JPY1200 (roughly PhP516)

It will be released in Japanese music stores starting July 30, 2014.

 

OLDCODEX, which consists of Tatsuhisa Suzuki on Vocals (who is credited as ta_2) and YORKE, who composes the paintings in their music videos. Suzuki also voices Makoto Tachibana, one of the lead characters of the Swimming anime.

The lyrics of  “Dried Up Youthful Flame”‘ was written by YORKE while the  music was composed by Suzuki.

 

The second season of the swimming-themed sports anime returns July 02 in Japan, which will be available on Crunchyroll’s streaming service in select locations across the globe.
