T.M. Revolution, GARNiDELiA, Eir Aoi headline “I Love Anisong” concerts; AFA Experience Zones, ARCC ID Qualifers also to be held.


Indonesians will have to plan and prepare to block off a weekend in August as the highly-anticipated Anime Festival Asia – Indonesia has announced its guests and activities for the event slated for August 15-17.

Noted J-pop artists TM Revolution, GARNiDELiA and Eir Aoi will headline the Event’s “I Love Anisong” concert to be held at the Balai Sidang Jakarta Convention Center’s Plenary Hall on August 16 and 17.

 

The J-pop artists who will perform on the first day of the concerts will be noted DJ Kazu, Eir Aoi, Hachioji P and EGOIST, while on the second day of the concerts, DJ Kazu will be joined by GARNiDELiA, TM Revolution and Luna Haruna.

DJ Kazu is an acclaimed Anisong and J-Pop DJ with numerous CD’s sold in record numbers. He has been featured in the NHK Anisong Festival, Animax Musix concerts, as well as other anime events in Europe and the rest of Asia.

Eir Aoi, meanwhile, sung the Opening theme of Mobile Suit Gundam Age, entitled “Aurora”. She also did the opening theme song of Sword Art Online, entitled “Innocence”, which broke into the 6th place of the Oricon charts.

She has been an in-demand guest for anime conventions like Sakura Con in the US, AniMAGIC in Germany and other events. This will be Aoi’s Second AFA appearance after gracing the “I Love Anisong” concert in  AFA’s Singapore leg in 2013.

Hachioji P is considered to be the “Prince of Vocaloid Music” ,as he is an internationally-recognized Vocaloid music creator, remixer and DJ. His works include “Sweet Devil” and “Electric Love”, which stormed its way into 11th place of the Oricon singles charts.

He also has broken the charts in Taiwan and has been invited to several anime events in Japan and abroad.

EGOIST is a fictional group that was tasked to create the songs in the anime “Guilty Crown” led by its vocalist, Inori Yuzuriha, who is one of the lead characters of the series.

It’s producer is ryo from the band Supercell and Yuzuriha’s voice is provided by Chelly. Their first album, “Extra terrestrial Biological Entities”, not only made waves in Japan but also across Asia. The album clinched the third spot in Amazon China’s music rankings and took the Gold record there.

The band will be their second Anime Festival Asia performance and the first in Indonesia.

GARNiDELiA is composed of Song composer/arranger Toku and vocalist MARiA. They were tapped to do the Opening theme song of the anime Kill la Kill, titled “ambiguous”. MARiA also sung the opening theme song of Mekakucity Actors, “Daze”. The duo’s performance at AFA ID will be their Southeast Asian debut.

T.M. Revolution, born as Takanori Nishikawa, has been a familiar voice to J-pop enthusiasts. As a solo project himself and as the frontman for the band Abingdon Boys School, he has produced numerous singles to different anime series and contributed some of his voice to some of their characters.

He has sung different opening and ending songs for series like D’Gray Man (Innocent Sorrow), Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (Invoke, Ignited, Meteor). Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny (Vestige), and Valvrave The Liberator (Preserved Roses and Kakumei Dualism) together with Nana Mizuki.

Luna Haruna sung the Ending theme song of the anime Fate/Zero entitled “Soraha Takaku Kaze wa Utau”. She has been singing since 2011 and has released an album titled “Oversky” which was released in August of 2013. 

 

Apart from the “I Love Anisong” concerts, AFA ID 2014 will also hold  “Experience Zone” areas like the “Creator’s Hub”, which will be the area for up and coming manga artists selling merchandise like Doujins, bookmarks and posters.

The “AFA Cafe” zone, meanwhile will be fronted by Maids and butlers serving food and giving a memorable maid and butler experience, while the “Akiba Town” zone will consist of Japan’s top stores and merchandise to be sold to event goers.

AFA ID 2014 will also hold the AFA Regional Cosplay Championships (ARCC) Indonesia leg, which will determine the country’s representative for the ARCC to be held in the main AFA event in Singapore this December.

Featured Anime titles for the event will be announced on a later time.

 

Tickets to the event range from IDR450,000 (or roughly PhP1670) for the single-day General Admission package to IDR850,000 (or roughly PhP3152) for the Two-day VIP passes.

An early-bird Two-day Anisong, Three-day event VIP package, which also includes admiss costs IDR1,600,000 (or roughly PhP5932).
