The organizing committee of World Cosplay Summit Philippines has officially announced the date which they will hold the long-awaited Metro Manila qualifiers of the tilt.
A cover photo on the official Facebook page of the group revealed that they will hold the NCR eliminations for the National Qualifiers of the global cosplay contest on May 31.
No venue has been revealed but as reported earlier, Tessa Villareal, a ranking official of the Organizing Committee of WCSPH, hinted that it could be held at the Resorts World Manila entertainment complex in Pasay City.
The event may coincide with the planned Kick-off and Press conference of the upcoming 13th Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention, which will happen on June 20 to 22 at the SM Megamall Megatrade Halls.
Last year, it made history by holding the first ever cosplay event at the said entertainment complex. The Kick-off and press conference was held at the Newport Mall Courtyard and featured popular cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao as guest.
It is not clear when will be the qualifiers for Luzon or Visayas be held, while Mindanao Qualifers were held in conjunction with the Mindanao Cosplay Summit held at the SM Lanang Premier in Davao last year in which Aldrin Gancayda and Gladys Ayuste were chosen.
The finals of the Philippine Qualifiers for WCS 2014 is expected to be held in June.
