Singapore, February 13, 2014 – Japan’s favourite ‘club leader’, singer May’n is back for in Asia as part of her 2014-2015 World Tour. This concert is part a series of more than 30 overseas and domestic performances. It will see her performing in Indonesia, Jakarta, in the Upperroom Hall on 10 May 2014 and Singapore in TAB on 12 May 2014!

This will be the 8th time May’n will be performing in Singapore, following appearance at previous Anime Festival Asia events as well as her May’n UNITE!! Asian Tour in 2011. She will also be performing for the 2nd time in Indonesia, after making her first appearance at Anime Festival Asia Indonesia 2013.

 

『dots and lines』 Tour
May’n will be making a world tour as part of her 10th Anniversary. Countries she will be visiting include Taiwan, Korea, China, Indonesia, and Singapore. More details will be announced soon.

 

INDONESIA
The Indonesia performance will be taking place in Upperroom Hall, Jakarta. 11th – 12th Floor, Annex Building, Wisma Nusantara Complex, JL M.H. Thamrin, No. 59, Jakarta, 10350, Indonesia on 10 May 2014.

VIP tickets retail for 790,000 RP while General Admission tickets will be priced at 400,000 RP.

 

SINGAPORE
The Singapore concert will take place in TAB, #02-29, 442 Orchard Road, Orchard Hotel, 238879, Singapore on 12 May 2014. Doors open at 18:30 and the show will begin at 19:00.

VIP tickets retail for SGD$148 while General Admission tickets will be priced at SGD$78.

All VIP ticket holders are entitled to autograph sessions with May’n at the shows. More ticketing information will be announced soon.

 

About May’n

May'n
24-year-old May’n’s career began in 2003 at the tender age of 13, where she joined and became one of the four final contestants in the 28th “HoriPro – Talent Scout Caravan – Love Music – Audition”. After making her single debut with the song Crazy Crazy Crazy and Sympathy in 2006, she sang the ending theme for the animation Love Get Chu.

In 2008 she released two singles, which went on to become top singles on the Oricon Weekly Chart. She also featured prominently as Sheryl Nome, Diva of the Galaxy in the anime series Macross Frontier. Her 2009 mini-album May’n Street took the second spot on the Oricon Weekly Chart from its first week.

After making her first overseas live performance in Singapore at the Anime Festival Asia 2008, she followed up with a series of other concerts and tours, from sold-out her solo Nippon Budokan concert, and her first tour of Asia.

In 2010 she sang the theme song of the film “Incite Mill – 7 Day Death Game-”. She later released her 3D documentary May’n The Movie: Phonic Nation, her second album, and her second solo Budokan concert.

Her next project involved a two-year long collaboration (2011-2012) with Daisuke Asakura, who composed and produced her singles “Chase the world” for the animation Accel World and “Scarlet Ballet”, for Aria the Scarlet Ammo.

May’n has since represented her home country in the ABU TV Song Festival 2013 in Hanoi, Vietnam in addition to starting on her May’n Hall Tour 2013 “Live! Cave! Dive!” in Japan.
