Five categories opened for nominations, Awards to be possibly held on 7th Philippine Cosplay Convention
Cosplay.ph has announced the opening of the nominations for the Cosplay Costume of the Year Awards 2013 (CCY 2013), or the “COscars”, which will honor the top cosplay costumes of the past year.
The opened nominations are for the Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, Best Child Costume (for kids aged 12 and below), Best Creature (either a Robot, Mecha or Monster costume) and Best Crossplay Costume.
The organization has said that they will only accept costumes whose debuts were done in the year 2013, They will also allow the owners of the costumes to nominate themselves in the fete.
Deadline of submission of nominees is slated for February 14, 2014, in which the top 20 finalists will be chosen by the board of Judges. Rules regarding Online voting will be posted on a later date.
The “Coscars” is expected to be held at the sidelines of the 7th Philippine Cosplay Convention to be held on March 8 and 9 at the Robinson’s Place Manila.
