Dominant anime magazine Ozine Anime Magazine has revealed on the sidelines of the Ozine Fest: Anime Figure Special that they will hold their first event for 2014.
Dubbed as Otaku Expo 2014, the event will be held at the SM Megamall Megatrade Hall, two weeks after holding their yearend event. The date has been set for January 11 and 12.
Adz Sison, the host of the event, also revealed to the crowd that Ozine has partnered with anime channel ANIMAX Philippines to hold the Cosplay Competition that was supposed to be held on ANIMAX Carnival Philippines 2013 this month.
That event, which was the second ANIMAX Carnival event in the country which was to be held at the Ayala Malls’ TriNoma Activity Center on December 8, was cancelled in deference to the victims of Super-typhoon Yolanda. Japanese artist May’n was scheduled to be the guest of the event.
The Ozine team has not yet revealed who is going to be their guest for Otaku Expo 2014.
It should be remembered that the Otaku Expo held in January last year was cancelled abruptly because of the so-called “Martilyo Gang” holdup incident at the SM Megamall.
