Hey guys, It’s chaotix here… I guess you are familiar with username… somewhere. It’s a long story, but basically I’ve been busy with my studies and internship, but I am trying my best to watch the latest anime titles airing every season. Please bear with me.

The Winter anime season is almost here, and here are some titles in the Winter 2014 line-up that I’m definitely interested to watch, and here are my five picks for this season… in no particular order, of course.

Seitokai Yakuindomo 2

Seitokai Yakuindomo 2

For those who have watched the first season, then you are in for a treat, if not, then you can catch up with that season’s 13 episodes and eight ongoing OVAs (original video animation). This series serves as my antidepressant, as the jokes here are very hilarious.

Take note though that this series is full of innuendos and risque language.  I don’t expect much on the animation side but I do expect more funny twists, especially on the budding romance of the Student Council President and the Vice President.

Chunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai Ren

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai 2

This is one of my most anticipated titles for the season. Since this is made by KyoAni (Kyoto Animation), I do expect its animation to be really good, including their characters, like Rikka.

In this season, there will be a new character who I guess, is more immature than Rikka, basing on my first impressions. It will also be interesting to see if there’s going to be a love triangle in this series, as this new character is interested in Yuuta. I do expect that this plot would add a little spice to to the series as it goes further.

Nisekoi (False Love)

Nisekoi

I’ve read the manga by Komi Naoshi and, suffice to say, the plot is getting nowhere when I read it up to the latest chapter. But I do hope that this series can possibly be that lively, thanks to their expressive faces shown there.  Another reason why I’m excited with the title is because the anime studio SHAFT produced the program.

SHAFT is also known for animating popular anime series like Monogatari, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko and Puella Magi Madoka Magica, so expect that the animation is going to be well-made.

In addition to the reason that am I excited for this series is because the seiyuu of these characters are popular, such as the voices of Kana Hanazawa, Asumi Kana, Nao Touyama and Kouki Ichiyama.

I am sure this would be compared to Infinite Stratos, because of its seiyuu Ichiyama, who has also done that series.

Mahou Sensou

Mahou Sensou

This series, along its ongoing manga series, is s based from the light novel by Media Factory. From what I see, this serves as a prequel to Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei. The plot in this series focuses more on magic and the story is much serious than you expect.

I’m eagerly awaiting the latest chapter of the manga series, because it feels more intense when I read it. Also, I really wanted to see this series animated, since imagination alone is not going to be enough to visualize the magic spells and acts.

Pupa

Pupa

Based from the manga by Sayaka Mogi,  I guess I will  give this a shot. I don’t know why am I feeling excited when I watch a dark-themed series like this one, it feels like that you are unleashing your dark ego within you because of the reality you are facing with today.

Now, why did this series appealed to me? It is because of my curiosity why this series was titled “Pupa”, and how will the characters manage to survive a contagious disease.

It may seem odd but I haven’t read the manga before this series was green-lit.  I’m also expecting some gory scenes later in the series, but this is probably going to be minimal, since this series isn’t produced by Ufotable (Fate/Zero).

But wait, there’s more. These are the other series that I plan to watch this season, as well as some other new ones.

Overall, there are 19 titles, but if you will include the carryover episodes from previous season’s titles… I guess that sums up to more than 20.  Majority of these titles has the plot lines that I do look forward to, and the others that you might be interesting for you.

Well that’s all for now, until next time… This is chaotix, Wishing you a Prosperous New Year, and Enjoy Watching!
