Southeast Asian anime channel ANIPLUS Asia is set to premiere the upcoming anime series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid this January.

The comedy anime series will be airing on the channel just an hour after its Japanese telecast.

Miss Kobayashi is an office worker who lives a boring life. One day, while drunk, she saves the life of a female dragon and invites her to her small apartment. The dragon, named Tohru, transforms into an adorable human girl dressed as a maid. With a devoted, high-spirited Dragon Maid as her roommate, Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to change!

 

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is an anime adaptation of a manga series by Coolkyoushinja, which is being published by Futabasha in Monthly Action magazine since May 2013. The manga currently has four (4) volumes.

The anime adaptation will be directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto, who also directed Hyouka and Amagi Brilliant Park, while Black Butler scriptwriter Yuka Yamada handled the series composition of the anime.

Character designs are made by Miku Kadowaki, who worked on several titles like Beyond the Boundary and Amagi Brilliant Park, which will be produced by Kyoto Animation.

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Mutsumi Tamura (“Satoru Kimijima”, Girl Friend BETA) as “Kobayashi” and Yuki Kuwahara (“Hime Arikawa”, Himegoto) as “Tohru”.

 

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid premieres on January 11, every Thursday nights at 12:00am (Wednesday nights at 11:00pm JKT/BKK), airing an hour after the Japanese telecast.

Encore telecast on Thursday nights at 11:00pm (10:00pm JKT/BKK).
