Pan-regional anime channel ANIMAX Asia is set to premiere two anime titles this month, My Love Story!! and Gatchaman Crowds Insight.

The channel is also set to have a marathon of the highly-popular anime One Punch Man and Naruto movies during the holiday season.

Goda Takeo, is a first year high school student, with a height of 2 meters and an estimated body weight of 120kg. He is tall and clumsy with not much luck with girls; most of them seem to be fond of his charming childhood friend, Sunagawa Makoto. Takeo, however, is very popular amongst the boys!

While travelling on the train one morning, Takeo and Makoto rescued Yamato Rinko from a molester. Yamato, who saw Takeo as a tough guy, fell in love with him at first sight. And a unique love story begins…

My Love Story!! is an anime adaptation of a romantic comedy manga, written by Kazune Kawahara and illustrated by Aruko, which was published by Shueisha in Bessatsu Margaret magazine from October 2011 to July 2016. The manga has a total of 12 volumes.

The anime adaptation was directed by Morio Asaka, who also directed the popular anime Cardcaptor Sakura, while the scripts was handled by Brothers Conflict scriptwriter Natsuko Takahashi. Kinihiko Hamada, who previously worked on the two seasons of Chihayafuru, handled character designs, which was produced by anime studio Madhouse.

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Megumi Han (“Gon Freecss”, Hunter × Hunter 2011) as “Rinko Yamato”, Takuya Eguchi (“Shinji Koganei”, Kuroko’s Basketball) as “Takeo Goda” and Nobunaga Shimazaki (“Shinnosuke Aikawa”, Silver Spoon) as “Makoto Sunakawa”.

My Love Story!! premieres on December 26, airing Every Monday and Tuesdays at 08:00pm (07:00pm JKT/BKK). Two episodes back-to-back.

 

Gatchaman Crowds Insight

CROWDS is a technological system that turns a human’s mentality into physical forms. A year has passed since the “Tachikawa Incident” and the usage of CROWDS has now spread across the public and the government.

A mysterious organization, VAPE, appears to threaten the peace in the city and the Gatchaman crew is called to action once more.

Gatchaman Crowds Insight is the sequel to the Gatchaman Crowds anime series, produced by Tatsunoko Productions and directed by Kenji Nakamura, which is based on the classic anime series Gatchaman. The first season premiered on the anime channel in December 2014.

Scriptwriter Toshiya Ono, character designer Yuichi Takahashi and the main staff from previous season returned to work on the sci-fi action anime.

The Japanese voice cast are lead by Ryota Ohsaka as “Sugune Tachibana”, Maaya Uchida as “Hajime Ichinose”, Ayumu Murase as “Rui Ninomiya” and Daisuke Namikawa as “Jo Hibiki”.

Gatchaman Crowds Insight premieres on December 26, airing every Monday and Tuesdays at 10:00pm (09:00pm JKT/BKK). Two episodes back-to-back.
