The anime titles premiering next month are two of the 13 titles that was revealed in an event on Sunday.
Premiere date and time of each title will be announced at a later date.
Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation
Shotaro Tatewaki is a normal high school student with a serious demeanor hangs around with Sakurako Kujo. Sakurako is an extraordinarily beautiful woman in her mid-20s from a rich family who loves “beautiful bones.” The two live in the city of Asahikawa in Hokkaido, and they get involved in various incidents regarding bones. Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation is an anime adaptation of a Japanese mystery novel series by Shiori Ota, with illustrations by Tetsuo, which is running since February 2013 under the Kadokawa Bunko imprint. The light novel currently has nine volumes.
The anime adaptation was directed by Makoto Kato, who also worked on Btooom! and Aldnoah.Zero, while Mawaru Penguindrum scriptwriter Takayo Ikami handles the series composition. Michio Sato, who work in several anime shows like Bakugan Battle Brawlers and Fairy Tail, handled character designs, which was produced by TROYCA.
The Japanese voice cast are lead by Shizuka Itou (“Hinagiku Katsura”, Hayate the Combat Butler) as “Sakurako Kujo” and Junya Enoki (“Shion Kiba”, Cardfight Vanguard G) as “Shotaro Tatewaki”.
ANIMAX Asia, which is the direct competitor of HEROtv, previously announced in February that they will air the anime this year, but was not aired as scheduled.
Shio Ogura is a Japanese high school student, who is visiting Taiwan on a school trip when she is suddenly attacked by monsters. Agents known as “E-Gene Holders” from the government agency DOGOO also arrive, who wield weapons infused with the spirits of historical figures. Shio is revealed to also be an E-Gene Holder when the soul of Oda Nobunaga awakens after she tries to rescue a friend. (Synopsis from Anime News Network)
Nobunagun is an anime adaptation of a manga series by Masato Hisa, which was serialized by Earth Star Entertainment’s Comic Earth Star magazine from May 2011 to August 2015. The manga has a total of six (6) volumes.
The anime adaptation is directed by Nobuhiro Kondo, who directed several episodes of Sgt. Keroro, while Gate Keepers scriptwriter Hiroshi Yamaguchi handled the scripts. Hiromi Matsushita and KAZZ T handled character designs, which was produced by Bridge.
Shiori Muto, in her dubbing debut, played the lead character “Shio Ogura”.
