Pan-regional anime channel ANIMAX Asia has previously announced that the sci-fi anime Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn was set to premiere on Saturday, January 23, but instead aired a repeat of the popular anime Guilty Crown.

Anime Pilipinas had asked a representative of the network regarding the matter and has received this statement:

“Regarding Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, we regret to inform you that we won’t be pushing the premiere on the channel due to unforeseen circumstances. Hope you understand.”

 

Although the channel has not given any specific details regarding the cancellation, it is suspected that it may be because the content that may not be appropriate to air in certain territories, which includes Singapore and Malaysia that has strict censorship laws.

It is not yet known if Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn would be available through on-demand services or the channel has given up the license completely.

 

The channel now only has two simulcast titles for the season, which are Durarara!!×2 3rd Arc, airing every Sunday nights, and GRIMGAR, Ashes and Illusions, which is set to premiere on Tuesday, February 02.
