Anime Pilipinas has learned that adventure anime titles Elementhunters and Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 premieres on ABS-CBN’s digital terrestrial channel Yey! this weekend.

Both titles were previously aired on Filipino-language anime channel HEROtv, which is a sister channel of the terrestrial channel.

Elementhunters is a 39-episode anime series produced by NHK and HeeWon Entertainment, which was directed by Yoshiaki Okumura and Han Pyo Hong, while Naruhisa Arakawa handled series composition. The series first premiered in Japan on July 2009, and was first aired in the Philippines on HEROtv in December 2013.

Elementhunters premieres on Saturday, November 01, airing Every Weekends at 09:00pm.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is an 11-episode anime series produced by anime studios BONES and Kinema Citrus, which was directed by Masaki Tachibana and Natsuko Takahashi handling series composition. The series first premiered in Japan on Fuji TV’s noitaminA block in 2009, and HEROtv aired the anime in March 2013.

Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 premieres on Saturday, November 01, airing Every Weekends at 09:30pm.

 

Yey! is one of the digital terrestrial sub-channel of ABS-CBN, which is currently under test broadcast, and the second animation channel of the network after HEROtv.

Previous anime titles have also aired on Yey!, like Kirarin Revolution, Sgt. Keroro, Kuroko’s Basketball and the Naruto series. The terrestrial animation channel were also the first channel air Marvel’s anime adaptations, which includes Iron Man, Wolverine and Blade.
